Welcome to Laurie's Wacky World!!

Pull up a chair, grab a diet pepsi (a favorite of mine!) , or a beer (another favorite of mine!) and hang on for the ride of your life!  

Let me tell you about myself and my family!  This could get long due to the fact that I was silly enough to have FOUR children!  Marriage was a piece of cake!  But kids?!?  No one told me that they did NOT come with a manual!  Oh well...I love them to death!  

Let's start with my personal information:

• 38 years old

• married Steve  (VP actuary at Fortis Benefits Insurance in Woodbury, Mn.) in June of '82

• taught 5th grade for one year (those pre-teens drove me NUTSO!)

• live in Burnsville, Minnesota

• mother died in '92 of ovarian cancer (I miss her dearly), dad is still alive and kickin' & will probably outlive us all!

• I am the youngest of 5 kids, including 2 sisters and 2 brothers 

Now for my hobbies & hilights:

• playing tennis - until my ankle said, "Lady, we only live once!  Can you quit abusing me!??"  So, I listened and quit playing.  I miss my tennis buddies a lot though.  It is a chore to keep in touch with them.

• watching my children in their various athletic events ( and driving of course!)

• counted cross-stitching (when I have the time)

• reading (when I have the time)

• ever since I was a kid I have loved Tigger & Winnie the Pooh

• I love flowers, although here in Minnesota the outdoor gardening season is short!

• chatting with my BUD on AOL! (when I have the time)

• Met my AOL Bud "Forepaws" and went whale watching with her!  AWESOME!

• am now a member of a women's bowling league!  :o)

My Dear Hubbie Steve:

• runs every day...hasn't MISSED a SINGLE day in the past 26 years!!  (it's true!)
• loves to read
• loves to listen to all kinds of music!
• coaches soccer (by default...I volunteered him years ago and he's still at it!)
• works hard to provide for us...and does a damn good job of it too!
• loves to play the piano...although he doesn't know how to play pianisimo...only LOUDIMO!
• his parents still live in the SAME house that Steve grew up in in Rochester
• oldest with 4 brothers and 1 sister ( graduated with his sister)

Saving the BEST for last...My kiddos:

Joe: 

• Born 10/6/83

• DYING to get his permit!

• Plays goalie for a summer traveling Premier team as the keeper and also on the school team

• Loves Calvin & Hobbes

• Post player in basketball

• By the way, he's 6'1" and 180 pounds

• runs track in the spring to get into shape for summer soccer

• smart kid if he wants to be (OH...I mean academically!  AND the attitude can be smart if it wants to be too!)

• artistic

Sarah: 

• born 7/14/85
• soccer defender/midfielder/forward on a Premier summer traveling team and school team
• began playing school basketball last year and did quite well

• as tall as her mother and MUCH thinner!  :o)

• ran the mile for last year's varsity track team at school

• learning she is smarter than she thinks!

• loves kids

• has recently discovered the

Kevin:  

• born 3/18/87

• loves being in middle school

• soccer midfielder on a Classic 1 summer traveling team (no Premier at his level)

• plays basketball

• getting taller!

• loves to run and can run long distances at a time

• loves school (6th grade)

• will laugh at anything if you want him to!

Daniel:                                  

• born 3/4/89

• is learning responsibility concerning homework in the 4th grade

• soccer defender/forward on a non-competitve under-10 traveling summer team

• playing basketball for the 2nd winter

• blonde hair and blue eyes will charm your socks off

• likes to run track in the spring

• school is fun except for the homework!

• loves anything with a siren on it!
